Garlic Honey Asparagus

It’s Asparagus season! It is one of my favorite veggies, so I love when it’s in season. My favorite ways to eat asparagus are roasted or grilled. It tastes great with just a little bit of olive oil and salt. But, I realize not everyone likes it as much as I do and some people need a little more flavor to make it edible for them. Just a little bit of honey can make almost any veggie better to those that struggle with the taste.

Asparagus is a great source of all kinds of nutrients! According the the USDA, asparagus has 1013 IU vitamin A in just one cup! Vitamin A is good for things like immune function, reproduction and vision. It’s really important to eat a variety of veggies so we get plenty of the nutrients we need.

This side dish is really easy to make. You can just throw it in the oven to roast while you’re cooking the rest of your meal. It goes great on the side of fish, chicken or beef. My family eats asparagus with salmon a lot. I’d love to hear from you if you make this! What did you serve it with?
