Non-dairy Caramel Sauce
This caramel sauce is to die for! You will want to eat it straight from the jar with a spoon! The coconut butter makes is so creamy.
All you do is bring your maple syrup to a boil and then add the rest of the ingredients. Boil and stir until the coconut butter completely melts and the sauce begins to thicken ( about 5 minutes). Don’t burn your face off when you lick the spoon!
I keep this in a mason jar in the fridge. It will keep for at least a few days, but it probably won’t last that long!
So many people think when they start AIP they can no longer have anything good to eat. No more treats. This is completely untrue. I eat great on AIP! I do try to avoid treats too often, but everyone should do that no matter what diet plan they’re following. This is definitely an occasional splurge for me. If I had it around all the time I would eat way too much of it because it’s that good! When I do have it around, I will drizzle a little on a sweet potato, make my Bananas Foster Wrap or my Sweet Tostones. You could also make some homemade AIP ice cream and drizzle it on that.
